I have not had any news from the bay for a long time but i have been saying i want a new house and on Saterday i was given one by my brother he bought it a few years ago from a charity shop for his granddaughter who no longer plays with it. It has been used by a child so needs some tlc and completely redoing but is undamaged and has 4 good size rooms so i think with some work i can do something with it. I am thinking maybe a pub but a modern Witherspoon style pub that is in a building not built as a pub maybe call it the old town hall or something that says the building had a previous use. not definite that is what i will do and i am very busy with orders just now so think it will be after Christmas before i start work on it so if any one has other ideas for it i would love to hear theme or any pub names for it.

It can get very expensive decorating a dollhouse but you can save money  on lots of things from DIY stores or shops like the £1 shop. £1 shop sells packs of vinyl floor styles with different designs  these make great flooring for a dolls house. Many DIY stores will let you take a sample of wall paper or sell off very cheep part rolls that have been used for samples find ones with small patterns for decorating dolls houses tester pots  of paint are also good for decorating a dolls house  instead of buying large tins of paint. Here are some rooms  i have decorated using  £1 shop flooring and sample wall paper.

If any one is in York any time i would recommend a visit to the Miniature Scene  dolls house shop at its new home  18 Monkgate i have not visited the new shop yet but visited the old one many times there was always so much to see and i found i could get things i could not get at other shops. the staff are lovely and very helpful it really is worth a visit.

From today until the 1st January when buying from my etsy shop  for delivery to a UK address you will only pay postage charges on 1 item most other items bought at the same time will not add any extra cost so most  orders postage will only be £3 even if buying several items.

sorry but still no work done on any of the properties i think what i need is a new one to get me motivated again. we have had another week in Cornwall  with lovely sunshine so spent most of it on the beach. I am already starting to get  Christmas orders in the shop so will probably be busy for the next few  weeks but hopefully if i am a good girl santa will bring a new house the bay really needs it.

I have not  done any work on any of the properties for a few weeks but I did have some good news  last week I was contacted by a dolls house magazine who want to fetcher one of the items from my Etsy shop in the November  magazine.

Beacon cottage

this is Nick and Alex  they live in Beacon cottage Nick was born and brought up in the Bay but moved to the big city when he joined the police force but came back to the bay when his dad Bobby retired as the local policeman and nick has taken over the job. Alex was not from the bay but meat Nick when she was working in the big city Hospital and he was there after a work accident. Alex works in the bay she helps the doctor who visits the bay on Mondays and Thursdays to do a surgery in the village hall as there is no permanent doctor in the bay the rest of the week Alex  visits patients at home everyone from expecting mums new babies elderly  and sick residents anyone with broken bones or dressings that need changing. as you can imagine they are both very busy and important residents in the bay.

the new ice cream stand is open next to the beach shop with a selection of hot and cold drinks ice cream sweets and candy floss.

i will try and remember everything that has been done since the last update nothing big but lots of bits. the salon now as a nice area to get your nails done.

the fish and chip shop got  some lovely fish and chips

the B&B got the dining room finished and new bedding in the pink room

Beacon cottage and Barnacle cottage both have new bedrooms

the store as new stock including a sweet section.

the village hall had  a new coat of paint inside and out
