dolls house fair 7th April

Just a bit of news I have just confirmed I will be exhibiting at the dolls house fair at The Petwood Hotel in Woodhall Spa LN10 6QG . On Sunday the 7^th of April.

I would love to see anyone who can get there it is a lovely fair in a very nice hotel and it would be grate to meet you so if you can make it come and say hello.

the village hall

Downstairs the village hall is one of the most important buildings in the bay and is used for just about anything that happens hear party’s weddings show the pant Christmas fare. It is also used as a meting place for the scouts and guides the local play group the WI and lots more sadly when the last doctor retired there was no doctor in the village so twice a week Doc Martin from near buy Portend visits the bay and uses the hall for his surgery so as you can see it is Avery important place. Here are some of the things that have happened in the hall and over time I will try and drop in on some of the other things that happen in the hall.

At the other end of the road is the village hall and above the village hall is Miss Kristy’s school of Dance and Performing arts. This is where Miss Kristy teaches the local children dance and acting. Miss Kristy was a brilliant dancer but sadly had a terrible accident when surfing she as recovered enough to teach and do some small local shows but she will never dance like she did before the accident. Miss Kristy moved to the village after the accident as she loved it so much and used to visit before when resting between big shows. Miss Kristy never married but dos often get visits from a very well-known actor.

royal mail increase

Just a reminder about the increase by royal mail  in the cost of posting will go up on the 2^nd of April but as it is a holiday weekend my shipping costs in my etsy shop for ready to ship items will go up on the 28^th as items bought on or after that will not be posted until the 2^nd as post office will be closed over the holidays. made to order items will go up on the 26th as they might not be ready to ship before the holidays.

Next to the holiday let is Barnacle cottage it is empty just now but Katy will be moving in very soon Katy will be working in the Cath Kidston shop the first shop on st Pirans bay high st. Katy was born in the bay but moved to Devon when she was 15 there was a big fallout in her family when she found out her mom was actually her gran and her sister was her mum. Her sister had her when she was only 16 Katy’s father was a sailor and we all know what they are like he promised to Mary Katy’s mum but never came back to the bay the family told everyone the baby was Katy’s grans. When Katy found out she went to stay with family in Devon but when she was offered a promotion to shop manager she found out the shop was in the bay her family do not know she is coming back so it will be interesting to see what happens when they find out. Katy plans to have the cottage redecorated and furnished to her Owen taste before moving in.

Sea View

I have told you a lot about the old town No 1 lighthouse road  Gowns and Garters  a plaice by the sea and all the other buildings on lighthouse road. But you don’t know so much about the other side of town Harbour view as had a lot of changes and many of the buildings are still to be billet or changed and some of the old buildings are gone. At one end of the road is Sea view the holiday let with the  The Cornish gift shop underneath the gift shop will be moving to new premises that have to be built yet  and when it moves there are planes for the shop to be a convenience store so both visitors and locals can get everything they need. Above the shop is the holiday let a property that sleeps 4 with a double sofa bed in the living area and 2 beds in the bedroom it as a lovely shower room to wash away the sand after a day at the beach and a nice kitchen area if you would like to cook some of the lovely local food or just to make tea to go with your cream tea bought from the bakery. The property is owned by Sally and Tony sally was born in the bay and as lived there all her life but tony as not they meat when Tony was on holiday in Newquay in 1985. Tony fell in love with sally and the bay and moved there when they got married in 1986 they moved in to sea view which was given to them by sally’s grandfather but in 1991 when their second child was born it just was not big enough for them and they bought a house in the bay but kept sea view and rent it out to holiday makers. Sally is the local district nurse and Tony is the plumber. They have two children Antony who is 25 and lives in Bristol and Lauren who is 21 and still lives in the bay and coursed a lot of gossip when she moved in with her boyfriend Jo and they are not married and she is now expecting her first baby. This is still a small town where every one knows every one and many of the older residents don’t like the modern ways I dear not even tell you why Antony moved away and how that coursed  even more gossip then Lauren and Jo.

This is defiantly one for the pink fans I have been working on a new kitchen it is much brighter than the soft pink I use for many of my items and as a glossy finish. I really like the black tops with the pink units.

florist shop display

Today I have been working on this bridal shop or florist shop display. I get bored  very easy and I cannot stick to one thing  that is why I love dolls houses so much so many different things to do one day its painting furniture or fimo food the next its making cloths  so today it was flowers.
