One afternoon I  was in the mood to do something but did not know what and as we were are going away the next week could not spend any money. I have a box where i put unused and broken items I never throw anything away so i picked out some items gave them a coat of paint and distressed them a bit so the mismatched damaged items would look like thats how they were meant to be. I had an empty shop sitting on top of a storage unit that was looking very dirty and un loved and gave that a coat of paint inside and out. I made some rolls of wallpaper and fabric found a couple of pictures a few plates and some jar candles. I put it all together and hear is the result of an afternoons work and no money spent.

I can not believe its been so long since I posted on here but I haven't really had much going on in the bay a small amount of work on the Pub and some new chairs in the village hall is all i have done since my last post. Everything else I have worked on as been for my shop not my own projects. I really will try and find time to do something as I do miss working on my own things.

I have not had any news from the bay for a long time but i have been saying i want a new house and on Saterday i was given one by my brother he bought it a few years ago from a charity shop for his granddaughter who no longer plays with it. It has been used by a child so needs some tlc and completely redoing but is undamaged and has 4 good size rooms so i think with some work i can do something with it. I am thinking maybe a pub but a modern Witherspoon style pub that is in a building not built as a pub maybe call it the old town hall or something that says the building had a previous use. not definite that is what i will do and i am very busy with orders just now so think it will be after Christmas before i start work on it so if any one has other ideas for it i would love to hear theme or any pub names for it.

It can get very expensive decorating a dollhouse but you can save money  on lots of things from DIY stores or shops like the £1 shop. £1 shop sells packs of vinyl floor styles with different designs  these make great flooring for a dolls house. Many DIY stores will let you take a sample of wall paper or sell off very cheep part rolls that have been used for samples find ones with small patterns for decorating dolls houses tester pots  of paint are also good for decorating a dolls house  instead of buying large tins of paint. If any one is in York any time i would recommend a visit to the Miniature Scene  dolls house shop at its new home  18 Monkgate i have not visited the new shop yet but visited the old one many times there was always so much to see and i found i could get things i could not get at other shops. the staff are lovely and very helpful it really is worth a visit.
